From there...
From there I was asked pretty regularly if I did portraits. Taking pictures of people other than with a disposable camera or point and shoot was something I had never done, so my reply seemed to always be "no, sorry I don't." If I only knew then how much I'd begin to love shooting people. In fact that's pretty much all I do now. There's something special about capturing someone in a particular moment. A moment that would only be seen by the people who were there to see it. A moment that no matter how much you'd like to, you can never go back. Photographs change that. No, you can't climb back in the picture, but you can look at it and share that moment with anyone you show it to, and that is something amazing. I love creating an image that will be with that person for the rest of their life. A moment in time they can share with family and friends as long as they are around, and can be passed on generation to generation so they can see what once was. Pretty incredible!
